The Odette School of Business is pleased to announce the inaugural World Health Innovation Network (WIN) Advisory Council. This group of internationally renowned experts will join forces to drive tangible health care and economic benefits for all Canadians.
The Advisory Council will act as a visible body of leadership, influence and support for the ground-breaking work that WIN executes. These highly respected business and health system advisors will strengthen the mission of the Odette School of Business to advance research excellence, world class leadership education and knowledge generation to accelerate health system sustainability and economic growth in Canada, the US and globally.
This Council will be a powerful force contributing business expertise to scale innovation and drive impactful change in health systems. These Canadian and international advisors, ambassadors, and connectors will further WIN’s vision and goals by building on the Odette foundation of collaboration among faculty, Leaders-In-Residence, students, government, universities, and business.

Jodi Butts, LLB is the Executive Director of Rise Asset Development. Prior to this, Jodi co-founded a boutique law firm and served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Operations at Mount Sinai Hospital. Jodi is an active alumna of the University of Windsor.
Carolyn Cross, CFA is the founder, current Chairman and CEO of Ondine Biomedical Inc. and Sinuwave Technologies Corporation. She has over 30 years’ experience with public market securities and over 25 years’ experience working with early stage companies, with a background in finance and institutional investing. Carolyn currently serves on the National Research Council of Canada.
Martha Huston, CPA is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Services and Solutions for the Medical segment of Cardinal Health. Prior to this role Martha served as President of Cardinal Health Canada. Before joining Cardinal Health, she served in executive roles in the logistics, banking and insurance industries.
Jim Marsh, LLB is the President of WFT Investments. In his former roles, he held senior leadership positons in food service and industrial companies overseeing operations in Canada, US and Europe. Jim is a Special Advisor to the Dean at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor.
Donna Wellington is the Vice President of Hospital Operations at Henry Ford Hospital Michigan. She is a clinical expert and former nurse administrator for Neurosciences, Maternal Child, NICU and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Donna currently serves on the board of the Centre for Executive and Professional Education Management at the Odette School of Business.
Carol Stephenson is the Corporate Director of Intact Financial Services Inc. where she is also Chairperson of the Compliance and Corporate Governance Committee and sits on the Human Resources and Compensation Committee. She is the former Dean of the Ivey Business School, Western University. Carol has worked extensively in the telecommunications and technology industries.
Peter Van der Velden is the Managing General Partner of Lumira Capital, Canada’s largest dedicated life sciences venture capital investor. He is the former President of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. In 2014, Peter was appointed to the Government of Ontario’s Ontario Health Innovation Council, whose mission is to enhance the adoption of Ontario-based innovation by the provincial health care system.
