Eileen Mac Donald is the current President and CEO of GS1 Canada, the world’s leading supply chain standards organization. During Eileen’s 19-year tenure with GS1 Canada she has a history of achieving double digit business growth through consistently delivered innovation and performance improvements. Eileen draws on her experience in multiple industries in significant roles as a small business owner, a buyer for the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry (CAMH), and a marketing and advertising leader with Home Depot, where she played a critical role in Home Depot’s launch into the Canadian market after their acquisition of Aikenhead’s Home Improvement Warehouse. Immediately prior to joining GS1 Canada, Eileen was Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Operations at an innovative national loyalty program, where she was responsible for business development, business strategy, marketing communication and advertising, public relations, and member services.

Eileen is an elected member of GS1 Canada Board of Governor’s and an originating Board member for SCAN Health, an International Knowledge Translation Platform (NCE-IKTP) funded to accelerate knowledge translation and address key problems, challenges and opportunities of high strategic importance for health systems in Canada and around globe.

Eileen’s studies include Marketing & Advertising at York University, and Contracts & Law at the University of Toronto. She has lectured at the University of Toronto, York University and Rotman School of Management.
