SCAN Health Design Competition: Supply Chain Solutions for Global Health Systems
About the Design Competition
The SCAN Health Design Competition is a virtual, international design competition that focuses on a real-world, health system challenge. The Design Competition mobilizes health system leaders to identify key supply chain challenges they are facing, and to create a Design Competition challenge for industry and global partners to respond to with solutions and expertise that offer global recognition for winning teams. The Design Competition strategy enables industry to build relationships with health systems in a unique competition environment that offers value to industry partners to better understand the challenges health systems are facing, and, conversely, enable health leaders to learn how health system assets can be engaged to co-design a solution. Health system partners, in turn, gain knowledge of industry expertise in supply chain best practice that can be translated into applications for health systems.
Submitting your Solution
Individuals and teams must register via the SCAN Health design challenge portal link. Only one registration is required for the team. Round 1 calls for Expressions of Interest (EOI) submissions (1,000 words max.) by November 17, 2017. Please follow these steps to enter:

December 4, 2017: Semi-Finalists announced
January 26, 2018: Final Strategic Solution Deadline
February 20, 2018: Winner & Finalists Announcement
Eligibility
Open to all global industry organizations, innovators and academic teams, including SCAN Health partners, operating in the healthcare supply chain. International teams are encouraged to participate. Please refer to the full competition terms and conditions prior to submitting Expressions of Interest.
Why should you participate?
This global design competition is a unique opportunity to profile your solution and/or strategy to a real-world health system challenge. This is an opportunity for teams and industries to get valuable input and feedback by an international team of experts and judges. The Winning Team will receive an invitation to present their solution at the SCAN Health Global Networking Event 2018, an event that gathers international experts from health systems, business, industry, government and academia from five countries: Canada, US, UK, the Netherlands and Australia. The top 3 teams will receive international exposure on the SCAN Health knowledge translation platform with over 100 partners from 5 countries and will include publication and promotion on SCAN Health's website and social media.
