Advancing and Accelerating Health System Innovation and Supply Chain Maturity in the Region of Southern Denmark
Dr. Anne Snowdon is honoured to be appointed Adjunct Professor of Clinical Supply Chain Innovation at the Centre for Innovative Medical Technology (CIMT). CIMT is a research and innovation centre for Odense University Hospital and the University of Southern Denmark. This collaboration will focus on validating Health - Supply Information Maturity Management (H-SIMM), a ground-breaking supply chain maturity tool in partnership with HIMSS Analytics to support health organizations to assess their progress towards a strategic supply chain infrastructure that contributes to quality, safety and sustainability.
H-SIMM engages and guides health organizations and regional health networks to analyze their progress and accomplishments in achieving a strategic supply chain strategy for their organization. The tool offers an online strategy to inform organizations and health systems of the key milestones necessary to achieve strategic supply chain transformation in health systems. This gives organization leaders the guideposts for progressing along the journey towards supply chain transformation to achieve a fully digital, traceable supply chain across global health systems. It also creates an opportunity for comparison of supply chain progress and outcomes across organizations, regions and global jurisdictions by comparing the uptake and progress towards achieving the seven levels of supply chain maturity in health systems.
Dr. Snowdon’s appointment at CIMT will also include a collaboration to develop business models for H-SIMM tailored to the Danish and Scandinavian health systems.
